We’re excited to announce a new collaboration between Diverse Research Now (DRN) and Divergent CRO, united by a shared commitment to ethical, inclusive, and community-centered clinical research.

Why This Partnership Matters
Clinical research is evolving. With the FDA’s new mandate emphasizing the inclusion of diverse U.S. patient populations, the industry must move beyond intention and into meaningful action. This partnership is designed to do exactly that.
Through this collaboration, DRN will serve as Divergent CRO’s preferred partner for diverse patient recruitment, ensuring that studies are informed by—and accessible to—the communities most impacted by health disparities.
Shared Goals, Shared Values
Divergent CRO brings deep expertise in supporting clinical research at every stage, from regulatory compliance and data integrity to operational oversight. Their goal is to secure sponsor studies and build strong site networks that reflect the diversity of real-world patient populations.
Diverse Research Now is a nonprofit rooted in community trust, focused on increasing representation in research by serving communities disproportionately affected by certain conditions, including:
Alzheimer’s disease and brain health
Autoimmune diseases such as lupus
Mental health conditions
Our approach centers on education, advocacy, and authentic community engagement—building trust first, so participation can follow.
Rebuilding Trust in a Post-Tuskegee Era
At the heart of this collaboration is a shared understanding that history matters. The legacy of unethical research practices, including the Tuskegee Syphilis Study, continues to shape how many communities view clinical research today.
As part of this partnership, Divergent CRO has committed to providing pro bono educational support to DRN’s community, with a focus on:
Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Institutional Review Board (IRB) safeguards
Patient rights, informed consent, and transparency
These efforts are essential to ensuring that post-Tuskegee is not just a moment in time, but a standard—where ethical research, accountability, and respect are non-negotiable.
Looking Ahead
This collaboration represents more than a partnership—it’s a shared commitment to changing how research is done and who it serves. Together, DRN and Divergent CRO are working toward a future where trust is earned through action, communities are empowered through knowledge, and diversity in clinical research is the norm, not the exception.
We look forward to the impact this partnership will have as we continue advancing science with communities, not to them.
